Definitions of terms on the BOB-E.ai platform.

AI Agent

An AI-powered entity, often in the form of a chatbot, that can interact with users, answer queries and perform tasks like scheduling and lead generation automatically. In BOB-E's documentation, we often refer to both chatbots and agents or assistants. Within the context of BOB-E an AI chatbot, an AI agent and an AI assistant are the same thing.

AI Model

The AI model refers to the different model selected to be used in each A.I. agent. GPT-3.5, GPT-4 Turbo and GPT-4 are all names of different AI models used within the BOB-E platform.

Appearance

This is the area in the dashboard where you can update all of the appearance settings for your AI assistant, such as branding, colours, initial messages, fonts, backgrounds, response speed of typing and status messages.

Base System Prompt

The base system prompt is where you provide the core instructions and guidelines for each AI agent. This is where you set the personality and add in guard rails so the AI agent knows how to respond in certain scenarios.

Chatbot

A Chatbot refers to an AI Agent interface that knows everything about your business. Agent = Chatbot, Chatbot = Agent. In BOB-E's documentation we often to refer to chatbots, assistants and agents. Within the context of BOB-E an AI chatbot, an AI assistant and an AI agent are the same thing.

Chatbot Dashboard

The user interface provided by BOB-E.ai that allows customers to personalise their AI agents, including setting base system prompts, adjusting temperature settings, and configuring integration APIs. This dashboard is crucial for tailoring AI agents to meet specific client needs and preferences.

Citations / Sources

Users can see which sources from the knowledge base were used by the AI agent to find the answer.

Credit(s)

A credit refers to a message credit and is used to control the usage of a an individual chatbot or client sub-account. See Message Credits for more info.

Context Window

The Context Window refers to the length of text that can be sent and received.

Conversational AI

This refers to the subset of artificial intelligence specifically designed to enable computers to understand, process, and respond to human language in a natural and conversational manner. In the context of BOB-E.ai, conversational AI powers the interactions between AI agents (or chatbots) and users, facilitating realistic and engaging dialogue while accomplishing advanced actions.

Dashboard

This is the view that all platform users will see when logging into their BOB-E.ai account. The user dashboard is unique for each user as it allows them to update and change different settings and content for their AI Assistant.

Deployment Channels

The various platforms through which AI agents can be deployed, including websites, social media, email, and messaging apps. BOB-E.ai allows customers to extend their reach by deploying AI agents across multiple channels, ensuring users can interact with the agents wherever they are most comfortable.

Default Prompts

This is the default base system prompt that will be shown on all new chatbots created.

Embed

Embed Chatbot on your website via iframe and get the chat bubble embedded via small script/code snippet. This is a feature available for all AI agents via their individual chatbot dashboard.

Knowledge Base

The "knowledge base" refers to the custom business information uploaded to train an AI chatbot.

Message Credits

Units used to measure the use of services within BOB-E.ai. Each message received from an AI agent consumes between 1 and 25 message credits depending on the AI Model being used. Customers receive credits in their monthly subscription and also have the ability to purchase these credits adhoc.

1 AI Response with GPT-3.5 Turbo = 1 Message Credit

1 AI Response with GPT-4 Turbo = 10 Message Credits

1 AI Response with GPT-4 = 25 Message Credits

Permissions

This allows customers to control what specific users of their dashboard will see. For example, if you want a user to only be able to engage with the AI agent but not change the prompt or update the knowledge base.

SaaS (Software as a Service)

One of the most common terms to describe the type of business that operates a software platform like BOB-E.ai for businesses.

Sentiment

A feature within AI models that evaluates the emotional tone behind users' words, enabling AI agents to respond appropriately to the mood or sentiments expressed. This is essential for maintaining a natural and empathetic conversation, particularly in customer service scenarios.

Temperature

This is an advanced setting in the base system prompt that allows you to control how creative the AI agent will be.

User

A User typically refers to the person who is actually engaging with the AI agent.
